About
History Walking Tour
This is the original Historical Walking Tour of San Miguel de Allende and the only one that benefits a non–profit that for nearly five decades has provided free dental, medical and psychological care to the children and teens of families without insurance or the means to provide that care themselves.
No reservations are required. Just meet in El Jardin opposite the iconic Parroquia Church in the center of San Miguel at 9:45 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For a donation of 500 pesos, the professionally-guided English-language tours start at 10 a.m. and last about 2 1/2 hours, covering a mostly-flat 10-block area. This tour has been awarded TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence. It’s a definite “must” for any visitor to San Miguel.
Donations support the work of Patronato Pro Niños, now in its 55th year of providing care to the children and teens of the neediest families in San Miguel and the outlying area. Revenue from the tours makes a substantial financial contribution to the organization. You can find more information on our website (see the link on this page).
Regularly scheduled tours take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Groups meet in the Jardin across from the Parroquia (large church) at 9:45 AM, and leave at 10:00 AM.
Donation: 500 pesos per person / cash
